What we do...

The Volunteer Development Team is here to support you in your role, whether you are a Section Leader, Lead Volunteer or Trustee. As a team we:

Attract and welcome new volunteers to County Teams

Make sure volunteers are well-supported

Help volunteers with learning

Recognise volunteers

We are a brand new and growing team, following the recent transformation of the volunteer experience. To help us achieve our mission of ensuring all our brilliant volunteers are well supported we need help. We have aa wide range of roles and tasks available.

Many tasks could be carried out by adults with other roles in Scouting - you don't need to give up a local role you love to help support other adults in the County. But if you fancy a change or a new challenge we can also offer this.

We are looking for:

Administrators

Volunteers who can instruct a wide range of practical skills

Volunteers with management experience to train, mentor and coach other managers

Volunteers to support writing of award citations

Volunteer recruitment experts

First Response Trainers (and we can offer you training to take up this role)

Learning assessors
